Looking to access your theme's code or language options with Shopify's new theme editor layout?
In your Shopify admin click on Online store > Themes
Next to the theme that you want to edit click on the Menu button which is a small square with 3 blue dots
This will open a submenu of options which includes: Edit HTMl / CSS and Edit Language
Below are the options available with a brief summary as to what each does.
This section allows you to choose a solid color for your site background
You may also elect to use a background image, this can be a tiled image that repeats across the site vertically and horzontally or a single image in a static position.
Site Content options
These are core settings that will effect the entire site
Breadcrumb trails can be enabled or disabled here.
Primary Buttons control the look of:
• Add to Cart
• Update Cart
• Place My Order ( within check out )
Social sharing icons
These are the icons that appear on product and blog pages only.
Customers click on these to share your content on their social networks.
There are 3 possible Galleries which can be displayed on the homepage of the site. This does not include the Slideshow.
The Galleries can have between 1 and 4 images in a single row.
These images can have text floating over them. The title is visible at all times with hidden text will only appear on hover.
This text content is shared and it's color and font sizes chosen here.
Product Listing Colors
Where you see products available for purchase on the homepage, collection pages and search page
These colors define how these products will be displayed.
