Featured images displaying oversized in Firefox

Last Updated: Aug 24, 2016 12:53AM EDT

Looking to access your theme's code or language options with Shopify's new theme editor layout?

In your Shopify admin click on Online store > Themes
Next to the theme that you want to edit click on the Menu button which is a small square with 3 blue dots
This will open a submenu of options which includes: Edit HTMl / CSS and Edit Language

In earlier theme releases some browsers are not displaying Home page featured images within their containers which results in those images expanding looking oversized on the screen.

This is a very simple css change that can be applied by following these instructions.
  1. Go to: Themes > customize theme > theme options ( top left ) > Edit HTML / CSS
  2. On the next page choose: Assets > stylesheet.css.liquid
  3. Scroll to the very bottom of the page and paste in:

.homepage-promo img { width: 100%; }
Click save, this will remove the issue in all browsers.
